VHB Detoxifying Shampoo is a specifically formulated hair extension shampoo that cleans gently, yet removes and clarifies residual silicone build-up from other products and excess mineral build-up from tap water that can clog cuticles. Purifies the hair back to it’s original state without weighing it down. Not overly foamy with too many sulfates that can dry hair out. This shampoo will not give hair a ‘slick-slippery” feel after shampooing… Instead, it makes the hair shaft receptive for the VHB Conditioner by opening the cuticles, not coating them again with slicking agents. The hair is now ready to soak in the VHB Conditioner!

As all of our regular customers that have been with us for many years know, we have always taken great care to find only the best raw hair availble to use for our extensions, for well over 10 years now. We have always been asked what products are best for hair and hair extensions. And for 10 years we have searched high and low for the correct products that keep hair extensions looking their best and their healthiest! After a lot of testing and trying of different products, none of which really impressed us, we have finally found the one!.

NO SILICONES!

Silicones are in almost every hair care product now a days. Probably in well over 90% of hair care products from shampoos to leave-in conditioners and almost all so called “Oils” like argan oils, have high silicone content. Silicones come in many different names in an ingredient list and it is almost impossible to find products that do not have them hidden somewhere.

Yes, silicones do make your hair soft and manageable at first… but, also have a dark side! Silicones ‘seem’ to repair damaged hair at first because they act like an invisible waterproof plastic barrier that makes hair seem healthy, but also keeps any moisturizing and hydrating conditioner from penetrating and smoothing the hair shaft, and will lead to dried-out hair over time.

The problem is often compounded when a no-sulfate shampoo is used that will not remove the invisible layer of silicone, leading to hopelessly dried out hair or hair extensions in a short time.
And is triple compounded when the pH of the hair care products are not correct, which causes rough cuticles, resulting in tangles.

VHB shampoo has the correct pH level for all hair and extensions.
It is a mystery to us why most all shampoos and conditioners have an absolute incorrect pH level for hair! An incorrect pH level will frizz hair, make hair stiff, and will cause rough uneven cuticle layers, which also causes tangling in hair and especially in extensions.

VHB detoxifying shampoo also has a low level of sudsing / lathering agents. You will notice that it will not lather as profusely as other shampoos. A high amount of sudsing agents will not clean your hair better…it will only dry out hair faster. Lather is NOT needed to clean hair! We are just so used to it, that we expect it, even if it dries out our hair.

The VHB shampoo will not cause tape hair strips to fall out prematurely like many other shampoos with silicones will.
