  • Micro Ring Links will hold the extension place firmly until you remove them. Will hold 2 to 4 months depending on how long you want to keep the extensions in
  • All L&B rings have smooth, rounded top and bottom edges
    No jagged, sharp-cut metal ends that can saw on hair as can happen with cheap rings
  • Grooved rings do not have a silicone lining, but have an anti-slip screw thread inside
  • Easy to install and even easier to remove without damage to your own hair.

L&B Tip: For thinner hair or a tight fitting ring/bead, use smaller 4mm rings (always use smallest ring possible). If not sure which size is good for you, we recommend having both sizes and always use the smallest ring that will still fit the bond.

L&B Tip: When choosing the color, choose a color similar to the bond color of your extensions. The bond will usually be slightly darker than the hair color. If in doubt, always choose the darker color as it will be less detectable than if it is too light.

L&B Tip: If you are using 2 or more colors for your hair extensions, you may need an extra jar of Screw Micro Rings to fit both colors! Example: If you choose brown and blonde extensions, you will need 2 jars of rings, one in brown and one in blonde. Also, it is a good idea to have an extra jar on hand for incase you want to redo a section, or, to replace strands.

Locks & Bonds does not recommend one type of bead. Salons and stylists have there own preferences.

What is the difference between Screw Micro Beads, Silicone Micro Beads and Micro Tubes?

Screw Micro Beads:

  • Screw threading in inside to keep them from slipping
  • Smallest ring. Smaller than silicone rings and tubes
  • Holds very well without slipping
  • Good hold for hair that tends to be fine, slippery, or, tends to become oily fast
  • Does not damage hair

Silicone Micro Beads (Aluminum or Copper):

  • Silicone is very gentle on your own hair as it acts like a cushion between your own hair and ring
  • Good for hair prone to breakage.
  • Aluminum rings are a tiny bit thicker, but may hold tighter, with some types of hair, than copper rings
  • Copper is thinner and softer, more comfortable against the scalp for some
  • Good for hair that is very fragil, prone to breakage or overprocessed

Copper Micro Tubes:

  •  Copper is softer, easier to clamp shut
  •  Clamps flatter than all other rings
  •  Softer metal is more comfortable if you have a sensitive scalp
  •  Longer length keeps them from slipping

Shipping Information

  • Cutoff time for same day shipping is 1:00pm US Pacific Time (Mon-Fri, and 11:15am on Saturday. No shipping on Sundays and U.S. holidays.
  • Tracking info is sent via email after package has entered into the carrier's system. The tracking number can be found under the "orders" tab on your L&B account page. If you checked out as a guest, this information is not available.
  • Shipments can be tracked at the carrier's website; usps.com, fedex.com, ups.com, and dhl.com. NOTE: Check-outs as a "Guest" do not have access to this info. Please sign up for an account before ordering if you want to track your orders.
  • IMPORTANT: To avoid delays in fulfilling an order, we may need to contact you to confirm the shipping address, advise that a product is out of stock, or any other issue that pertains to the order. Our preferred method of contact is:
    • 1. Via SMS. We find this the most effective way to get an answer quickly to avoid shipping delays. NOTE: We will NEVER send a solicitation via SMS.
    • 2. Phone call. NOTE: We will NEVER call you with a solicitation.
    • 3. Email. After you order, please check your emails within the next 24 hours after ordering! Add locksandbonds@gmail.com to your contact list so our emails don't go to your spam folder.

Locks & Bonds offers the following shipping options:

NOTE: All Delivery times are estimations given by our carriers AFTER we ship.

Standard: Delivery time is 3-7 business days after shipping. Packages may be shipped with USPS First Class. We may use other carriers at our discretion.

Fedex 2-Day: Delivery time is 2 business days after shipping. Please note that orders shipped on Thursday will arrive on Saturday, Not all areas have Saturday delivery, in which case the package will arrive on Monday. Orders shipped on a Friday or Saturday will arrive the following Tuesday.

FedEx Priority Overnight  Orders shipped Monday - Thursday will arrive the next business day, usually by 12:00pm. Orders shipped on Friday or Saturday will arrive on Monday.

FedEx Priority Overnight (Saturday Delivery)  Fedex offers Saturday delivery for an extra fee. Orders shipped on Friday with the Saturday delivery option will arrive on Saturday by 4:00pm. Not all areas have Saturday delivery, in which case the package will arrive on Monday. If you select the Saturday delivery option your address does not have Saturday delivery, we will send you an SMS alert and refund the extra fee.

Important Caution about Time-Critical Deliveries

  • Monday - Friday: The cut-off time for same-day shipping is 1:00pm Pacific / 3 pm Eastern). If you narrowly miss the cut-off time, send an SMS to 206-317-8584 to see if we can still get it out the same day.
  • Saturday: The cut-off time for same-day shipping is 11:15am Pacific - 2:15 pm Eastern). 

Important Note about Delivery Confirmation

All packages are shipped with delivery confirmation. Locks & Bonds may ship with Signature confirmation at our discretion. Locks & Bonds is not liable for missing packages at the final destination after a confirmed delivery. Make sure your delivery area is secure. Locks & Bonds will NOT re-ship an order if the shipment is declared "delivered" by the carrier.

We normally ship all international orders via FedEx Priority International, UPS Worldwide Express, or the US Postal Service,. We may use alternative carriers at our discretion.

We strongly recommend using Fedex or UPS. It may seem a bit pricey, but you will receive your hair in ONLY approx. 3 business days after we ship and you have better tracking visibility. We think this is worth the bit extra! Consider for the same price, you can go out and eat a pizza and 1 glass of red wine...or, get your long lush hair ASAP!

Is there really such a thing a "Free Shipping"? No. Companies that offer Free Shipping, only add the price of shipping to the item. This means that the quality of the item is not as high as the price may suggest, because shipping has been added to it. UNFORTUNATELY, IN REALITY, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS FREE SHIPPING.

Also, most so called "free shipping" takes more than 2-4 weeks for oversees shipping to Europe, without a tracking number or insurance! Protect your investment with DHL or FEDEX shipping.

L&B TIP: To save on FedEx/UPS shipping, we suggest you combine your order with a friend! We can ship multiple items for the same price;-D

  • FedEx and UPS. Includes a tracking number in real-time. Average time according to FedEx/UPS: approx. 3 to 4 business days transit, depending on countries customs). International orders usually will be shipped within 24 hours if ordered Monday through Friday. (1 Business Day Express shipping rules only pertains to orders within the USA). Tracking numbers can be can be checked at www.fedex.com or www.dhl.com.

Depending on the country you live in, your shipment may be examined and you may have to pay customs taxes to your country. Locks & Bonds is not responsible for any customs applied to shipment. If customs taxes are applied in your country, they are the buyers responsibility. We do not add an invoice into oversees packages. If you need an invoice, please print out the on-line invoice after check-out.
