How is Virgin Remy different than Remy?

L&B Virgin Remy is made from the most carefully selected, highest grade virgin cuticle-hair available

The difference starts in the raw hair selection process. Only top-quality healthy hair that has never been processed in any way, may be called Virgin. Virgin hair makes up far less than 10% of all raw hair, and is becoming increasingly rare.

Our Virgin Remy is hand-selected and specially processed by us to protect the entire cuticle-shaft during processing.
Unlike remy hair, no harsh bleach is ever used on our virgin remy line, which makes it longer lasting, smooth and soft. Our Virgin Remy will never tangle.

Only a slow and gentle color-bath is used so the hair will match our color-ring.
This slow and gentle process keeps the integrity of the hair structure absolutely intact.
The cuticles stay flat and tight ...which protects the vulnerable inner-core from drying out.

Virgin European hair has a finer structure than other hair extensions, which are usually made from Asian hair which is thicker in texture. Extensions made from Euro Virgin will be much finer in texture as the single hair is not as thick in diameter as Asian hair.

Virgin will feel and act like your own hair... will not dry-out over time and tangle like normal extensions. It will stay lovely and hydrated.

Single Strand I-Tip VIRGIN Remy Hair Extensions are used with
Micro-Rings/Beads/Links for a NO-GLUE installation.

L&B I-Tips can also be used for hot fusion with a heat connector. Often the amount of keratin on the I-Tip is enough, as less is often more, but occasionally an extra grain of keratin is needed. 18"(46cm) Length = 40 strands at 0.9 gram per strand / 36 grams per pack

14"(36cm) Length = 40 strands at 0.8 gram per strand / 32 grams per pack

Each pack of L&B hair extensions, I-Tips or Tape Extensions, has the same amount of hair in grams.

L&B Tip: Always know how many grams are in a pack before purchasing any hair extensions. This is more important than the number of strands per pack. Even though some companes may claim more strands, the total grams per pack may be less and individual strands may be skimpy making for less volume. Compare L&B prices with other brands by always checking the total hair WEIGHT and hair LENGTH per pack. If a brand does not mention how many grams per pack, always ask before you buy. Some brands may seem better priced at first glance, but will have less weight (less hair) per pack. Never buy from a store that does not tell you how many grams of hair you will be getting per pack. Sometimes you may have to get out your calculator and do the math to see the actual COST PER GRAM when comparing prices as the amount of grams per pack varies.

How to calucalate cost per gram: Divide PRICE per pack by GRAMS per pack = COST PER GRAM

• Tapered / layered towards the ends for a more natural look and less waste when cutting and blending. If the ends of extensions are too thick, the hair will look chunky and will not blend as well with your hair, nor blend naturally with the lower rows of the extensions. This is European hair, so the single hair will not have the same diameter as Asian or Indian hair, as it is finer. If looking for thick ends, you may choose to cut of an inch or two at the bottom once installed.

Each pack of Locks & Bonds Virgin Remy I-Tip Hair Extensions contains 40 single-strand extensions:

You may choose any colors you like, in increments of 40 extensions (1 pack)
Example: If you choose to use 160 strands, you may choose up to 4 different colors (40 strands x 4 packs=160 strands)

How many Extensions will you need?

The following are GENERAL guidelines as everyone is different. It depends on how long your hair is and how thick it is. The shorter it is and the thicker it is and the longer you want it, the more you will need.

For a full head install:

The longer you would like your extensions to be, the more you will need.
For 22" length, some may need 4 or 5 packs (160-200 strands). For volume to existing long hair, some may need only 1 or 2 packs (40-80 strands).

For 18" length you may need 3 to 4 packs (120-160 strands). For only volume to existing hair length, some may need only 1-2 packs 940-80 strands)'

One pack contains 40 extensions.

*** Colors may vary slightly from "batch" to "batch". All hair extensions companies strive to keep the hair colors the same during production. But sometimes there may be slight differences from order to order, since hair is a natural product and may not always be exactly the same.

Different monitors may show colors slightly differently, as can picture to picture.

***While Virgin hair will stay softer longer and last longer than normal Remy hair, the bonds (keratin I-Tips) may have to be re-bonded eventually. The bonds will usually not last as long as the hair will. Usually after the 2 or 3rd time used they will need replacing. But this is individual and depends on factors like products used, ph in home water supply, many rapid changes in temp. Tutorials on how to re-tip or re-bond extensions with keratin glue can be found by searching on YouTube.
